Eric S. Meyer, Esq.

Eric S. Meyer, Attorney at LawEric S. Meyer was raised in the Marysville/Yuba City area, approximately 45 minutes north of Sacramento. Eric spent a lot of time in his younger years working on his family ranch and his friend’s family ranch. This hard working, blue-collar work ethic rings through in his legal practice today.

Looking back, law was always Eric’s calling. Eric comes from a family of lawyers, including his grandfather, dad, and uncle. Eric is a third generation attorney in the Marysville/Yuba City area. He first fell in love with the law at the age of sixteen, when he became a cadet for the Sutter County Sheriff’s Department. While there, he quickly worked his way up to the top rank of Sergeant and his passion for the law grew further as he entered the patrol division. While in college at California State University Sacramento, he decided to shift gears toward law school.

While in law school, Eric worked for one of the most prestigious landlord tenant firms in the Sacramento area. He then began honing his courtroom skills while working for the Sacramento County District Attorneys Office, where he appeared in court daily and litigated countless trials.

After graduation, Eric became a Deputy District Attorney in Sutter County. As a Deputy District Attorney, Eric really began to hone his trial skills, where he quickly earned a reputation of an attorney who not only performed exceptionally in the courtroom, but who also maintained a good moral compass. As a prosecutor, Eric successfully convicted criminals of a variety of both misdemeanor and felony charges.

When Eric left the District Attorney’s Office, he went to work as in-house counsel for one of the largest American insurance companies. Eric has learned the game from the inside and knows how the insurance companies work. He has earned a reputation of being a fair attorney, who knows how to evaluate a case and be successful in the courtroom.

In his free time, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley, sons Brian Jay and Easton Eric, spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, cycling, and anything else outdoors.
